Sure they were overplayed in the 80s.but now they are a breath of fresh air. You miss the 80s. My wife and friends sang along for 4 hours on a long drive. Then you will love this collection. 42 songs.just about all of them HITS. And Unlike the 80s.you are not listening to a beat up tape or scratched record. The best part of this collection is that it contains a bunch of one hit wonders, some are hard to find on CD like:Video Killed The Radio Star - The Buggles867-5309/Jenny - Tommy TutoneTainted Love - Soft Celland More.Well worth the price and all are original length and remastered. Also buy this with similar Hit Me With Your 80's Box.
I Want My 80's BoxSee like it very much it was a gift out of state.
Albums were expensive if you were a kid living at home with your parents, and no one could download songs from the internet. I always assumed that many American singers were influenced by punk rock. Most teens didn't own that many albums. The 1980's really was the golden age of music videos. I would trade "Luka" for one of his songs any day of the week. All of them were hits during the 80's.
Most of these are love songs.
Most kids watched MTV all day.
There were a lot of popular British singers during the 1980's.
It was so much different then.
Punk-rock bands were popular in Britain.
These songs represent a more peaceful time to me.
Ronald Reagan was President, and the Cold War between America and the former Soviet Union was coming to an end.
I do wish Phil Collins had been part of this collection.
I like all of the songs in this box set except for that one.
This boxed set has all of your favorites from the 80s. I bought it for my sister for Christmas and we listened to it over and over again on New Year's Eve and beyond. Every song brought back a memory from the "old days" and made us smile. What a great way to start the new year.
GREAT CD, a must have if you are into the 80's music.
